The short version

In short: The marketing website runs Google Tag Manager. The application itself uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

Two different things are covered here. The public website you are reading now, and the application at app.getcareverify.com. They behave differently and it is worth separating them.

On this website

In short: Google Tag Manager, used to understand which pages are useful.

We load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-W3WFQZPZ) to measure how people find and use the site: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location from IP address, and browser and device type. It helps us work out which guides are worth writing more of.

Tag Manager and the tags it loads may set cookies on your device. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or to retarget you.

Being straight with you about the current state: Tag Manager loads when the page loads, before you have been asked for consent. If you are in a jurisdiction where that requires prior consent, you should block it using the browser controls below until we ship a consent banner.

In the application

In short: Only what is needed to keep you signed in securely.

The application sets cookies to keep you authenticated, to maintain your session, and to enforce automatic session timeout. These are strictly necessary. Turning them off means you cannot sign in.

We do not run advertising trackers inside the application, and we never place a tracker on a screen that shows client information.

How to turn tracking off

In short: Browser settings, an extension, or Do Not Track. All work without asking us.

• Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site in its privacy settings
• Content blockers stop Tag Manager loading at all. We do not attempt to detect or work around them
• Blocking these has no effect on the marketing site's functionality. Nothing here depends on tracking

Blocking cookies in the application will stop sign-in working, since the session cookie is how the service knows who you are.
