CareTime is now Alora

The straight answer

CareTime now sells under the Alora name. New agencies buy and onboard through Alora. Existing CareTime customers keep their software, login, data, support team and subscription terms, with no forced migration. If you are shopping today, the product you are evaluating is Alora.

Last reviewed 2 August 2026. The details below are taken from CareTime's own published announcement. CareVerify is not affiliated with CareTime or Alora.

What changed and what did not

This is their published summary, not our characterization of it.

Stays the same

  • Your CareTime login credentials
  • All client data and records
  • Your support team and contacts
  • Workflows, schedules and billing setup
  • Subscription terms and pricing

What is new

  • New agencies onboard through Alora
  • Sales inquiries go to the Alora website
  • Access to Alora's AI tooling
  • A broader roadmap and agency network
  • Future communications may carry the Alora name

We are reporting what CareTime published rather than vouching for it. If any of this matters to a renewal decision, get confirmation from your account contact in writing. That is ordinary practice with any vendor change, and it is what we would do.

If you already run CareTime

Then the useful advice is probably to do nothing. A brand change with no migration, no system switch and no pricing change is not a reason to move software. Switching systems costs you a month of disruption at minimum, and it should be triggered by something actually going wrong rather than by a logo.

It would be easy for us to write this page as a reason to panic and call us. That would be dishonest and you would notice.

The moments genuinely worth re-evaluating are when support gets worse, when a renewal comes in materially higher, or when you realize you are paying platform prices for three features. None of those is what happened here.

If you are shopping today

You are comparing Alora, so that is the page to read. Alora is an all-in-one platform covering skilled home health, hospice, pediatric and private duty, with all-payer billing and payroll. It does considerably more than we do.

CareVerify is non-medical only, built for agencies with 5 to 40 caregivers, and covers visits, scheduling and payroll hours at a price published on the website.

Questions

Is CareTime shutting down?

No. CareTime's own announcement says existing customers keep their software, login, patient data, support team, workflows and subscription terms, and that there is no forced migration and no system switch planned. What changed is the brand new agencies buy under: sales and onboarding for new customers now run through Alora.

Can I still buy CareTime?

Not as a new customer under that name. CareTime states that sales and new agency onboarding are handled through Alora. If you are evaluating today, you are evaluating Alora, and our Alora comparison is the relevant page.

Do I have to migrate to Alora?

According to CareTime, no. Their published answer is that your platform remains your platform, with no forced migration, no system switch and no disruption planned. If you are being told something different, ask them to confirm it in writing, because it contradicts what they have published.

Will my CareTime pricing change?

Their announcement lists subscription terms and pricing among the things that stay exactly the same. We are reporting what they published rather than making a promise on their behalf, so confirm it with your account contact before renewal.

Should I switch to CareVerify because of this?

Not on its own. A brand change with no migration and no pricing change is a weak reason to move systems. If CareTime is working for you, staying is sensible. The time to look elsewhere is when something is actually failing, or when you are paying for a platform whose parts you never use.

If you are staying put

Good. That is usually the right call after a rebrand. Come back if something changes at renewal.

If you are genuinely evaluating, the price is published and the trial is 14 days with no card.
